The Center for Research on Prejudice is located in a place of high symbolic significance. Our office on Stawki 5/7 Street in Warsaw resides a building of a former SS hedquarters on the Jewish Ghetto area, the infamous Umschlagplatz was located on the other side of the street. Because of such location, we feel obliged to study the issues of prejudice, stereotyping and dehumanization - the social and psychological problems that lead to extreme acts of human violence, such as genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Our works focus also on the psychological problems related to Holocaust and genocide. We edit books, special issues of journals, as well as research reports concerning psychology and sociology of genocide.

We hope that the "Never Again!" phrase would become a motto of all actions performed by the Center - both in research and practical interventions.
